Affiliate Programs earned $53 BILLION in 2005

According to Forrester Research, affiliate program earnings represent $53 BILLION of all e-commerce sales in 2005.



That is huge money, I won't tell you what my miserable share of that was, but my affiliate earnings are growing and that's the trick. You sign up with an e-commerce website affiliation program you are granted an affiliate ID eg http://www.twodollars.biz/?a=532036 where the 532036 is my affiliate ID. This is used by twodollars.biz to identify sales made by people who knowingly or unknowingly follow my link.

Amazon were one of the first to offer affiliate fees and now nearly everyone is offering it even Tesco (A British Supermarket)

Like everything Internet you need to have a website that gets lots of traffic!

Cosmic Ordering

I read Cosmic Ordering by Jonathan Cainer over the weekend, or at least I would have. Firstly it was practically unreadable and secondly I'd put it up for resale at Amazon and it sold immediately.

Basically Cosmic Ordering is good old "Positive Thinking" if you really wish to have or achieve something you'll find a way to get it and or it will come your way!

So there I've perhaps saved you money buying the book and all that time reading it!

Selling your Books on Amazon

Hi,
I've only just realised how easy it is to sell unwanted books on Amazon. I've sold many books on Ebay but it takes quite a while to take a photo and do a sales page. On Amazon you simply enter the ISBN of the book, say what condition the book is in via a dropdown, finally you set a price and that's it.

You can easily list a dozen books in say 20 minutes. A book on "Friends" the TV series and various other topical books sold within a few hours, I'm waiting to see for the others.

The only quirk is that Amazon add a fixed postage charge regardless of weight, which means you make a profit from a light paperback while you lose out with a thick hardback.

Dieting is easier if you can see that you are steadily losing weight. Exercising is satisfying if each time you find you can do a bit more. Unfortunately we often see no apparent progress and have to keep on trying on faith alone.
It's much the same with achieving success in a business or a career only a fortunate few see success immediately. The rest have to soldier on for years taking a few steps forwards and all too frequently a few backwards. Tragically it is well known that many give up with success in view there seems to some kind of psychological fatigue that causes this.

Can Ordinary People Find Success?

I've often found the biographies of famous successful people rather discouraging. You are trying to seek their secrets but you learn that Richard Branson when his plane was cancelled but as he needed to get back to London quickly he simply hired a plane and shared the costs with the other passengers. Or they say "Suddenly I remembered that Uncle Rodney had a printing press". I mean they seem to operate on a higher level. On the other hand I've been perplexed by the success of people who had every kind of disadvantage. So can us people in the middle find success because we don't have the natural conquering abilities of the Donald Trumps or the desperation of the truly disadvantaged?

Well we can but we have to step out of our comfort zone we have to change our keeping our heads down mindset and that's what this Blog is all about.

What if it isn't a Scam!

We are mostly brought up to be suspicious of everything, especially when something appears to be too good to be true and with good reason because there are so many scams out there. But how do you recognize a genuine opportunity?

For example: a businessman went to a seminar and bought one of the first McDonald's Franchises. When he got home and excitedly discussed it with his best friends they convinced him that it would never work. The next day he cancelled the check. He lost millions of dollars! On the other hand thousands of buyers of other schemes lost their money.

Well you have to do your homework, do your research, perform Due Diligence, discuss it with friends. If you are still convinced make sure you sleep on it.

One tip for spotting a scam , is if you are put under pressure to sign immediately
