Frank Furness: How we are programmed?

Went to see Frank Furness International Motivational Speaker, Sales Trainer, and Author today at Paul Avin's excellent Oxford Profit Club amongst many interesting things he told us that if you ask a group to write down the first thing that comes into their head for a number, a colour,a piece of furniture,a flower and vegetable the majority will jot down 7, red, table or chair, rose and carrot. I only got the carrot wrong. It's a bit frightening really, Frank goes onto explain that a good salesman learns to ask questions already knowing what the client is likely to answer.
