You will most benefit from going to the Gym when you least feel like going, but how you get yourself to go? It is also difficult persuading yourself when your fitness has gone backwards after an illness or a calorific Xmas. In all these cases you can usefully apply a bit of psychology; promise yourself you will take it
easy when you get there, or just go to the pool and sauna. After all if you associate the Gym with
punishment you will sooner or later give it up!
So where does the reverse thinking come in, well I no longer go to the sports center for my
physical fitness, rather I go there for my
mental health because I know afterwards I will feel great, this is because the Gym is one place where everything you do is for you, where they cannot phone you or hassle you. That's precious calming time in a nice environment and heck you get the physical fitness for free.
Try thinking this way and you'll find yourself going to the gym more often!
