Overcoming Difficulties Learning a New Subject
It is discouraging when learning a new skill, language or subject to find that you keep forgetting things or even appear to be going backwards. This is mainly because your mind hasn’t yet constructed a “framework” for the new knowledge and doesn’t know where to put it or what to connect to it (not a scientific explanation).
You can help the situation by writing notes, drawing mind-maps, or just keep going. What you mustn’t do is give up, remain confident that you will break thru these initial barriers, notice how at a certain moment things just seem to slot into place that’s because your framework is now in place.
